Editorial Policy

Focus and scope:

Denarius is a journal of the Department of Economics of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Campus Iztapalapa, is a biannual publication, its purpose is to diffuse unpublished, quality articles, that provide original approaches, with theoretical and/or empirical content that addresses current and relevant issues, for the analysis of the economic and administrative problems of México and the World, written by national and foreign academics and researchers.

Peer Review Process:

All works will be reviewed in prediction by members of the editorial team. Subsequently, the peer review is carried out by specialists outside the editorial team, provided they are not expressly requested by the Editorial Committee or Advisory Board. The decision on publication or non-publication of any document, it is unappealable. Once the decision has been made, the journal reserves the right to make modifications of style and form.

Publication Frequency:

Denarius publishes a complete number of biannual periodicity, in the months of June and December.

Open access policy: Denarius has open access through the OJS / PKP digital platform. This is based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater exchange of global knowledge.

 

Editorial guidelines

Articles should develop original topics, provide new approaches or provide new information on topics already studied. The papers must present methodological consistency and a clear development of the main ideas or main thesis. Only one work per author will be accepted in each issue, individually or, where appropriate, in co-authorship. The maximum number of authors per article is three. The submitted article will be unpublished (original). Only articles written in Spanish or English will be received.

All article proposals will be subject to the editorial norms described below. (No originals will be returned).

  1. Title (in Spanish and English); Summary (not longer than 15 lines); Keywords, according to the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL); Abstract (not longer than 15 lines); Keywords; Name (s) of the author (s).
  2. It is mandatory in a separate document, a curricular summary of the author(s) with: title, institutional affiliation, SNI level (if applicable), nationality, telephone number (only for contact, it will not be published) and e-mail.
  3. The introduction should state the objective of the article, as well as the internal structure with which it is addressed.
  4. Extension between 20 and maximum 30 pages, including tables, graphs and figures
  5. Paper is letter size, pages to 1.5 of space; font "Times New Roman", size 12 points, justified alignment.
  6. The numbered citations in the text will be indicated at the bottom of the page. The addresses of the aforementioned web pages must be verified and indicate the date on which the query was made, even if it no longer appears in cyberspace. Only the cited bibliography will be included in the body of the article.
  7. The tables, figures and images, maps or photographs, will be arranged numerically according to the sequence of appearance in the text (Arabic numerals).
  8. The author's name should be inserted in citation number one, in which the author's institutional affiliation and e-mail address should be included. In the case of more than one author, there is one citation per author with his/her respective affiliation and e-mail address.
  9. The delivery of the texts will be made through OJS (Open Journal Systems) https://denarius.izt.uam.mx/index.php/denarius and the necessary files must be attached. In the case of tables and graphs, they must be presented in Excel and in the case of images in JPG or PNG format. Only in special cases of ignorance will it be by mail (denarius@xanum.uam.mx).
  10. The textual quotes and references will be valid if they correspond to the following methodology: American Psychological Association(APA) Sixth Edition.

The articles sent to Denarius for their possible publication, will be subject to a prediction by the Editorial Committee of the journal and a double-blind arbitration by external specialists according to the subject, provided that they are not expressly requested by the Editorial Committee or Advisory Board. In case the submitted article is positively evaluated, the author or the authors must sign a commitment letter about the use of the rights of the material.

The delivery of the articles obliges the author not to submit, simultaneously, the same work in other publications. Once an article has been reviewer and its acceptance communicated, it is not allowed to withdraw it.

The authors retain the patrimonial rights (copyright) of their articles and grant the journal permission for their distribution, publication and reproduction.
